Big action demands big Foley! Sure, we only need one pass to record a bone-break or the handling of a gun, but it’s not like we can drive an actual car through the windowed facade of a restaurant in our studio. Moments like that require dozens of passes and meticulously layered sound elements which, when played together, perfectly simulate the chaos and destruction of the scene. For Spenser Confidential, we really sank our teeth in to make each sound more visceral than the last.
